Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics™ (Wilkodontics ®)
Fort Lauderdale, FL •Monday, January 30, 2017, 7:30 a.m. - Tuesday, January 31, 2017, 5 p.m.
Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics™, Wilckodontics, is a new procedure designed to greatly accelerate the movement of teeth via orthodontic braces. You will learn how to customize the minimally invasive in-office surgery and enhanced orthodontics to complete minor to severe malocclusions in 1/3
to 1/4
the time typically required for traditional orthodontics. This is often highly motivating for adolescents and adults who have been reluctant to proceed with orthodontics because of the length of time needed for the treatment. The resulting increased alveolar volume will lessen the need for extractions, permit facial recontouring, and provide for proven long term stability.
Wilckodontics is named after the dentist brothers (an orthodontist and periodontist) who developed it. They refer to their procedure as Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics (AAO). Using a couple well established periodontal techniques, the bone surrounding the teeth is “softened” and simultaneously grafted. The softened bone allows the orthodontist to move teeth quickly into their proper alignment. The grafting material in a few months time converts into strong bone, which supports the straightened teeth and a beautiful smile.
The Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics™ course will entitle you to become a certified/licensed Wilckodontics® provider and you will be noted as such on the Wilckodontics® website.
NEW ........ Breathe, YOUR life depends on it!
Breathing is basic. Our primitive brain controls the process, and we take it for granted. We as dentists can influence the available oxygen dramatically. An understanding of the physiology of breathing will allow for a more precise treatment plan of our restorative and orthodontic care. Considering the breath may well increase your patient's quality of life and possibly even their lifespan, as well as, the durability of our finished case.
