Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics™ (Wilkodontics ®)

Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics™, Wilckodontics, is a new procedure designed to greatly accelerate the movement of teeth via orthodontic braces. You will learn how to customize the minimally invasive in-office surgery and enhanced orthodontics to complete minor to severe malocclusions in 1/3 to 1/4 the time typically required for traditional orthodontics. This is often highly motivating for adolescents and adults who have been reluctant to proceed with orthodontics because of the length of time needed for the treatment. The resulting increased alveolar volume will lessen the need for extractions, permit facial recontouring, and provide for proven long term stability.Wilckodontics is named after the dentist brothers (an orthodontist and periodontist) who developed it. They refer to their procedure as Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics (AAO). Using a couple well established periodontal techniques, the bone surrounding the teeth is “softened” and simultaneously grafted. The softened bone allows the orthodontist to move teeth quickly into their proper alignment. The grafting material in a few months time converts into strong bone, which supports the straightened teeth and a beautiful smile.
The Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics™ course will entitle you to become a certified/licensed Wilckodontics® provider and you will be noted as such on the Wilckodontics® website.

William Wilcko, DDS
William has been in the private practice of orthodontics in Erie, Pennsylvania for the past 18 years. Dr. Wilcko received a BS in chemistry from Allegheny College, a DMD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and a MS in orthodontics from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. Dr. Wilcko along with his brother Tom, a periodontist, has been working on the Accelerated Osteogenic OrthodonticsTM procedure for over 6 years.
His previous research experience was in the fields of organic and inorganic chemistry. Through both animal and human research Dr. Wilcko has been instrumental in the development of several dental cements, one of which is an endodontic sealer that has been on the market for 17 years.
Thomas Wilcko, DDS
Thomas has been in the private practice of periodontics in Erie, Pennsylvania for the past 25 years. Dr. Wilcko received a BS in chemistry from Allegheny College, a DMD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, and a certificate in periodontics from the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Wilcko was awarded membership in the National Scholastic Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and also received the annual student award of the American Academy of Periodontology from the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Wilcko research has been in the areas of acyl free radical stability, calculus formation, porcelain shrinkage, and arachidonic acid. He has publications in the fields of chemistry and prosthetics and has contributed in the basic research for different dental products that have been brought to the market.
Dr. Thomas Wilcko and Dr. William Wilcko are the co-founders of the Wilckodontics™ Institute.
James E. Metz, DDS
Dr. James Metz is a 1973 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Today, he maintains a restorative dental practice in Columbus, Ohio, with an emphasis on dental sleep medicine. He is the affiliate director of The Ohio State University Medical Center Sleep Medicine Fellowship Program. He has served on the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine board of directors, course development committee, public relations committee, chair for the Introductory and Advanced Course of Dental Sleep Medicine, and vice-chair of the AADSM Annual Meeting in 2014.He is a board member of the Ohio Sleep Society. Metz is the founder and current chair for the Dental Interest Group of the American Thoracic Society.
Francisco Muñoz Thompson DDS
He got his DDS from Universidad de Chile and holds an Oral Surgeon certificate by CONACEO. Since the beginning of his career, Dr. Muñoz has been attracted by the academic world and has successfully shared it with his other passion; Oral Surgery. The combination of both has recently been materialized in his first text book “Oral Surgery for Undergraduates and General Practitioners” by AMOLCA. He is a fellow from Kyushu University, Japan and is a Faculty Professor at Universidad de los Andes, Chile where he coordinates the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program.
Silvana Palacios Trentino DDS
Since graduating as a dentist, Dr. Palacios has been exclusively dedicated to her private practice in Orthodontics, making a passion out of it. She has always showed an interest in new ideas and has permanently looked for excellence and quality in her treatments focusing on the patient´s emotional aspect as well as on the high standards in orthodontics. She has got deeply involved in the concept of accelerated orthodontics as well as the expanded scope of movement. Currently she is fully dedicated to the development of PAOO in Latin America. She received her DDS from Universidad de Chile and later on received the Orthodontist Certificate from the same institution. She is certified in PAOO by Drs. William and Thomas Wilcko and has lectured extensively in this field throughout Latin America.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations may be done via telephone, fax, email or mail with simply the participant's name and course enrolled. For most courses, cancellations must be received 5 working days prior to the start of a course. Cancellations received after this deadline will result in a 25% penalty. Registration fees will be forfeited for "no-shows". Please allow up to 4-6 weeks for refunds to be processed.
